Low-in, high-out flow direction (anti-water hammer): When the working medium is liquid, a "low-in, high-out" flow direction effectively resists water hammer. However, the operating pressure must be kept below 0.3 MPa under these conditions. If the pressure exceeds this limit, a double-acting actuator must be used.

High-in, low-out flow direction: When the working medium is steam or gas, the "high-in, low-out" flow direction significantly improves sealing performance during flow. However, it should be noted that this flow direction does not resist water hammer when the working medium is liquid.
