How to manually adjust the pneumatic control valve

Leave a message

To manually adjust a pneumatic control valve, you can take the following steps:

Turn off the air supply: Before making manual adjustments, make sure that the air supply is turned off to prevent any potential danger.

Loosen the connection nut: Use an appropriate tool (such as a wrench or screwdriver) to loosen the connection nut to separate the actuator and the valve core.

Select the manual adjustment method:

For pneumatic control valves without a handwheel, there is usually a knob marked with "automatic" and "manual" states near the valve's electrical converter. Turn the knob to the "manual" position and the valve will open.

For pneumatic control valves with a handwheel, directly use the handwheel to rotate the desired valve opening position. Then stop the air supply, release the pressure at the pressure reducing valve, and then rotate the manual handle to open and close the valve.

Manually rotate the valve core: Use the above-mentioned methods (handwheel, screw rod or handle) to manually rotate the valve core to change the flow cross-sectional area of the medium and adjust the flow, pressure and other parameters.

Reconnect the actuator: After the adjustment is completed, reconnect the actuator and tighten the connection nut.

Open the air source: Finally, after confirming that the manual operation is completed, open the air source to restore the pneumatic control valve to the automatic control state.
